The Eastern Avenue Auditorium and lecture theatre complex

In 2001 the University opened the Eastern Avenue Auditorium and lecture theatre complex to provide a high quality conferencing venue.
The complex comprises two distinct but related components: a large tiered auditorium seating 500, and the associated foyer and amenities suitable for public conferencing at a high standard.
Complementing the auditorium is a group of smaller seminar spaces comprising of a smaller tiered lecture theatre seating 200 and 12 break out rooms each accommodating approximately 40 people in a classroom style.
The complex complements the existing facilities and provides a functional and versatile conferencing and teaching facility as part of the University's upgrade of accommodation and services. It also reflects the balance of the cultural history and values of the University with contemporary teaching and research.
