Works:

The Darlington Public Domain upgrade makes the University a safer, more accessible and more comfortable environment for students, staff and visitors to move around within, as well as enhance the physical image of the University. The project develops what is already a major pedestrian thoroughfare, providing the most direct and safe path to and from Redfern Railway Station from both Camperdown and Darlington campuses. This upgraded pedestrian thoroughfare has new tree planting, furniture and, lighting. It is a safe, accessible and attractive area to pass through or to linger. Included in the project there is a wheelchair accessible boardwalk and a water retention tank to collect 75,000 litres of rain. |
Impact:
In order to complete the works it is necessary to close the circulation around the site. The pedestrian detour here illustrated will be in place during the summer period, from Monday 20 November, until the end of the project. |
