Checklist for a greener office
- Avoid unnecessary printing.
- Use both sides of your paper.
- Use post-consumer recycled paper.
- Recycle what you can!
- Buy remanufactured printer cartridges.
- Avoid driving to work where possible.
- Report leaky taps and toilets.
- Switch off lights when you leave the room for more than 15 minutes.
- Turn off your monitor when away from your computer for more than half an hour.
- Turn off printers and copiers overnight.
- Avoid over packaging where possible.

For a great visual prompt for staff and students to act sustainably, the Environmental Strategies team has produced 3 A5 posters on lights, water and air conditioning. The posters encourage staff and students to take an active part in reducing energy and water use on campus.

Report waste on campus
Use the CIS Service Desk on 9351 7838, or the e~Service Desk to:
- report leaky taps; toilets or any other suspicious water waste
- report air conditioning malfunctions
- report on lights malfunctions and energy waste
- enquiry about paper and cardboard recycling bins and collection
