- monitoring and predicting future needs (scenario planning) in relation to the physical development and maintenance of the various campuses and facility sites, to ensure that the needs of the University, within the foreseeable future, can be met
- assisting stakeholders in defining infrastructure-related problems and identifying potential capital and non-capital solutions including the scoping of resources required to implement these solutions
- reviewing and providing comment to the University’s executive on proposals, which result in an impact on the development and maintenance of the physical environment of a University campus or facilities site
- assisting stakeholders to develop and implement programs and facilities-related projects that improve as well as promote sustainable environmental management practices within the University campuses or associated sites.
