Heritage and conservation documents

  Section 170 Register
The University of Sydney is required to maintain a Heritage and Conservation Register under section 170 of the NSW Heritage Act 1977 (the S170 Register). This Register lists The University of Sydney's assets which have been identified as having State or local heritage significance.
  Heritage Asset Management Strategy (HAMS)
This document, prepared in accordance with the requirements of the NSW Heritage Act 1977, responds to the requests of the State Agency Heritage Guide, issued by the Heritage Council of NSW in December 2004.
HAMS is the guiding document that describes how the heritage assets will be conserved and maintained.
  Conservation management plans
A conservation management plan is a special study report that clearly identifies and describes why a place is important and then proposes an action plan, policy or strategy to maintain that importance.
